The Five-Year To-Do List Dinner
Before going to a play this weekend, my friends Kenneth (middle), Adam (right), and Sonya (taking the picture) and I went to dinner. Before ordering, we made five-year to-do lists for each other, of at least five things we though each person should do in five years. Sonya wanted to store them all in a special envelope and then give them back to us in five years. But because I am ALMOST done with this book of to-do lists (due in two weeks), I stole mine back from her and am going to put it on my author bio page. In five years, I'm supposed to be a lounge singer, have gotten married and had one child, and have learned how to "write a horse" (should be "ride a horse" but that's what Adam heard Kenneth say for me). Next time you are out to dinner with friends, try it. It's surprisingly fun to give control over of your life list to people who know you well.

Dear Sasha,
I landed on your blog inadvertently because Blogger dubbed it "a blog of note". I am quite glad I did. I'm looking forward to this release. Five years ago I may have said that I should be married by now, but I am an uncompromising romantic. The To-Do List Dinner sounds like a fun idea.

excited about the book :)
Sounds like a really cool thing to do. Must put it on my to-do list.
