30 Things to Do in 60 Days (Before Turning 30!)

A young woman in Boston made this list while freaking out about the onset of her 30th birthday. Keep busy, she figured, and she wouldn't have time to panic. A worthy strategy! At first glance, I thought I would have to quit my (pesky) job to write and complete my own version of this list, but then I realized it's all about what we choose as a daily challenge. Now matter how busy we are, we can probably all find one small new thing to do everyday. My 60 things to do in the next 30 days list will be to come. What's on yours?

I like that this list is do-able stuff, it doesn't include "be happy" or "get a life"! Hmmm...next 60 days include move 800 miles away and get a winter's worth of firewood!

I've been thinking about this one for about 24 hours. I'm going to be 35 in about 40 days, so am thinking of doing a modified list. LOVE this one!

This is my latest:

ten things to do before Midnight

1) Polish the crystal ball; polish, polish polish.
2) Leave a note for planchette.
3) Open the moon umbrella and be patient. There are 12 more minutes to wait.
4) Close eyes and try to remember my midnight birth of long ago.
5) Finish reading Midnight's Children by Salman Rusdie.
6) Eat the last bite of Chunky Munkey Ice Cream and recycle the container.
7) Ask the tarot if miracles are still possible.
8) Snap in the DVD of Children of Paradise.
9) Slip into the slinky midnight blue........
10) Listen to the sound of the wind ruffling through the tall green branches of the Ponderosa pines and remember when listening was enough.

At the stroke of midnight put down the calligraphy pen and curl into bed, smudgy fingers and all for the dream awaits.

My, oh my, this young woman had time to TYPE her list! I'm a great list maker but would no more think of putting a date to "must dos" than fly.

I think I'm going to enjoy wandering through your blog. Get ready for lots of visits as you're featured in one of UK's Sunday broadsheets.

On reading this I am also inspired to prepare my list for my next 30days.

I created a list like this for my whole life. It feels so great to mark something off. I've done white water rafting and jet skiing and I can't swim! But swimming's on the list!

Wow this woman lives in my area! And I'm sorry to see the West Newton Cinema on her list; it's terribly disappointing. the employees are miserable, the screens are dirty and it's all grossly overpriced, more so than the more popular theaters. but I like the attempt to contact U2, I wonder how well that went...

Love this list - I'm in my 20's so this topic is definitely larger than life right now! Some of the items on my own to-do list before I'm 30:

- go skydiving
- finish my degree!
- see the grand canyon
- finish reading lord of the rings (I'll get to it... soon)

Also liked how dates were assigned to the items on the list... makes those goals seem a lot more achievable!

Am I the only one who noticed "attend sex toy party"?
